A call for countrywide drivers education. Especially the elderly!

I now refer to old people as “Traffic”! I seriously can’t take how people drive anymore! I don’t think this country is concentrating on the right killers on the road here. We have numerous “Speed Kills” or “Click it or Ticket” or “Drunk Driving” campaigns out there. All the while ignoring the real “Killers on the Road… Pure Ignorance”
We have no PSA for the ignoramus reading a book while driving. We have no commercial for the woman who thinks you slow down (to a halt) to merge on a highway, and kills the 20 people behind her. We have no Emergency Broadcast System for the 95 year old woman… sitting on a stack of phone books to see through the fricken steering wheel in her 1935 Model T. Doing 25 MPH on a 55MPH highway (in the high speed lane.) These people are the real minions of death on the road. Where are our visual learning priorities people?
We spend billions on how to make the fricken car safer. Volvo says “our cars are the safest” then puts a retarded housewife behind the wheel and says “If you hit everything in your path… you have a great chance of not ending up dead! Here are the keys!
We pay outrageous prices for insurance, gas, and the damn car itself. Billions of dollars on advertising for buying the car and fixing the car and insuring the car. But not one damn cent for an infomercial on how to fricken DRIVE the 380 horsepower death machine!
We wont spend, not 1 cent, to teach that idiotic 5 foot 2 soccer-mom… behind the wheel of a 12 ton, $50,000, 8mpg, SUV… that its not wise, to drive their fricken monster truck up your ass, doing 95mph on the highway! Hey moron… It’ll take a half-mile to slow that huge thing down. But does she care? NOOOOOO… she doesn’t care… she’s driving a fricken Sherman Tank! So her, and her family won’t die but you and I will. Selfish prick!
It is my contention that if you tested 100 drivers of different ages, races, and genders… over 85% would fail miserably. Even frighteningly. Basic rules of the road are taught ONCE in the US. At the time of acquiring a license. I was 17yrs old! Thinking of nothing else, but who would be the first chick, I actually got in the backseat of this powder blue Pinto! I didn’t care about fricken signaling to turn right! Or checking my mirrors… did you?
I don’t know about you… But I’ll take some of my hard-earned tax dollars away from GW and these oil tycoons to put towards research on how many people… “Stupid Drivers Kill”.
